I looked at this watch for a long time online before I purchased it. I wanted chunky watch with a large face, which are very trendy right now. I looked at so many mens or "Grandpa" style watches, but they really all looked alike. I purchased this watch because it is large and chunky, but the panther link band and the different textures on the face made it so different and classy from anything that I have seen. Also, you can't get a sapphire crystal on the watches at a lower price point, which is key for me. The sapphire crystal is so much more durable. I have other nice Swiss watches with sapphire crystals that are 10+ years old, and the crystal looks new. Although the item discription states that it is rose gold, it is really not very rosy but a bright gold that I think goes better with my other gold jewelry. My only concern is how well the gold ion plating will hold up, but from what I have researched about ion plating it is supposed to be very durable. I may add to this review in a year to update that.
